This is a entry inspired from International Women's Day as it's already here and we all know games have no kind of pushing down of women even they empower them as many great franchises have female protagonists which made games not only more awesome but empowering as they show them as leaders with a burden of saving everyone is on their shoulders and they even face difficult obstacles in their journeys sometimes they are physical ( big enemy or a puzzle of some kind) and sometimes they are emotional ( death of a person close to the protagonist or being stuck in an emotional confusion ) well whatever it maybe our strong and brave protagonists find a way past it and complete the responsibilities given to her. 1.) Lara Croft from Tomb Raider series

Lara is the oldest female protagonist in the whole gaming as it was first released by crystal dynamics in 1996 industry before any other games came up with the idea. She is very praised by everyone for 20 years now ( seriously Lara is hanging around in tombs for a long time now ) as they recently released 20 years celebration edition in the rise of the tomb raider they soon will be releasing shadow of the tomb raider hopefully till the end of this year and till then you can watch Tomb Raider the movie releasing this year.

From the start, Lara has been an inspiration to many as women loved her for her bravery and courage and others love her for curiosity and finding the hidden truths and some love her for the ability to handle guns and people with those guns.

In the recent reboot of the series for first two games in the trilogy ( Tomb Raider 2013 and Rise of the Tomb Raider), she has been a survivor showing that no matter how hard the conditions may get women are strong enough to survive and fight back with inspired lots of people.

2) Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn

Aloy has been around for a year now but she made her mark on the gaming industry as she also inspired lots of players and women to stand up for themselves as the journey of Aloy starts by her being an outcast and rasing up as one and that want to belong in a group.

but as the story progress, we see her more than just an outcast as she leaves her comfort zone where she spent her whole life and starts her journey into a new world full of Robot dinosaurs which she knew almost nothing about but as her tribe got attacked and father got killed she had to take the steps necessary go out into that dangerous world and discover the truth about what happens to the earth and why dinosaurs are getting corrupted.
She is brave, fierce, got leadership skills, caring and kill huge robot dinosaurs which makes her a very great character to get inspired from and leave our comfort zones.

3.Chole and Nadine from Uncharted Lost Legacy

Uncharted series has been around for a while as they raised the standard to another level of action, storytelling, adventure, shooting and Oneliners and made other games starve to death as Naughtydog  lead franchise done some very brilliant work from 1st installment of the to last game as first 4 games tells us the story of Nathan Drake being a thief and video game version of a great Indiana Jones who can have a really good stamina as he does lots of climbing and very good with shooting people in the face.

But as the story of Nathan ends in the 4th installment Naughtydog released Uncharted The Lost Legacy the game casts the two sidekick female characters ( who have almost same skills of Nathan ) of Uncharted series as main protagonists they weren't very good friends when they start working together but as we see their journey progressing further they develop a very strong bond of friendship.

Both of them are brave, courageous, and intelligent and they inspired many by showing that a good friend is one of the most important things which you can have in your life and they make you stronger.

4.Senua's from Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

Senua is also been roaming around only a year but it may have a really huge effect on people as she suffers from schizophrenia touches the people internally more than externally as you feel what she feels.

The game is made that way so the player can fully experience the voices in the head and feels as she feels in those horrifying conditions game starts as senua reaches the gate of hell to confront the goddess of death Hella to confront her so she can revive her husband Dillion.

As we discover the past story throughout the game Senua's mother has the same problem and she was burned alive in front of her as they thought it was a curse and brings bad luck after that her father shut her down from the world till she grown up. Then she meets Dillion and both fell in love as he thinks Senua has a gift from the gods Senua left her father to be with him but as soon Dillion's village got some kind plague and everyone blamed Senua.

She went on an exile on her own when she get back everyone was dead and she blames herself for everything and everyone learned from her what pain is and even after going through so much she didn't give up which also tell us women can do anything to protect who they love ( No offense to men they can do that too ).

5. Unknown Robe girl from Journey

We all remember Journey as it won the 2012 game of the year award and really deserved it as the game has no dialogues but the endless beauty which defines why it's a game of the year award winner. The game starts with the player plays as a robe girl with no info on what's the story nothing just the endless beauty of sand dunes of the desert.

As the music of the game make you love it and a little game turns into a self-exploring journey which is a breathtaking and emotional experience.

As you discover your destiny in the ruins of the vast desert which have the whole city buried under it possibly what we can learn from the game is when we arrive in the world we know almost nothing but as we progress we understand and learn the things and we should not get upset by setback but we should always enjoy the journey.
