God Of War 4 : Best Game In The Series ???

Everyone knows and excited about God of War 2018 which is developed by Santa Monica studios and published by Sony interactive entertainment and is the latest Game in the series and is coming out on PS4 on April 20. The previous games in the series are known for typical storytelling, beating monsters with two chain swords and continuously mashing a button occasionally and this time they made possibly the best game in the series by throwing all the stuff out of the window (some it is still in the game in an awesome way ).

So, they did what they are calling reimagining of the game( Kratos is a father now, Wow!! ) which really needed for the franchise they completely changed the gameplay, combat, environment, and style of storytelling keep reading and we explore what and how they changed it.

GamePlay

So, as they completely renewed everything and especially gameplay because you old gameplay is good for 2010 not for 2018 So, they rebuild from the ground and it turns out pretty awesome for the first time in the series Kratos is not using his iconic twin chain blades as he lost them at the end of God of war 3 he uses instead another deadly weapon known as Leviathan Axe.
The Leviathan Axe can be infused with different kind of elements and can be thrown at enemies at distance and focus on other enemies and fight them by punching them in the face and calls it back when needed ( Like Thors Hammer, well that's cool ) and small enemies got stunned as long as the Leviathan Axe is attached to their bodies.
Another cool weapon is Kratos have is his shield who he carries in his left hand when not in use seems like a guard for his hand the player also got spartan time in the game the "Rage" ability is available for limited period of time (like devil trigger in DMC or Witchtime in Bayonetta etc. ).
the enemies now have two bars over them one is healthcare and other is stun bar when stun bar gets full or finished the enemy get stunned and an action move becomes available with which Kratos can tear enemies in two parts or throw them at other enemies depending on the size of the enemy ( It is as awesome as it seems ).
Now as Kratos is also a father he has a son called Atreus who is still a kid and helps Kratos in the combat by using his bow and arrows.
Atreus can distract enemies while in combat at the direction of the player his arrows don't do much damage but they do fill the stun meter, Kratos and Atreus talk while walking from one place to another sometimes Kratos carry him on back and get his help with certain things ( like Joe and Elli from last of us or like brothers from brothers ). We will be seeing a more responsible Kratos in the game than the previous games as now he also has to take care of his son and he doesn't even know that his dad used to be a god.

Environment

The game has no Fixed camera anymore ( phew ) so you can freely move in the surroundings and look at the stuff which is now made really awesome as they rebooted the environment as well now it's no more the monstrous and bloody looking environments they made the game world like a beautiful and lustrous place to walk around which are remarkably stunning and graphics knock it out of the park as well.
The game is an open game but not an open world game player will be able to fight some optional boss fights and treasures as the game been set in Norse mythology and not on Greek mythology like previous games we also see the elements of Norse culture in the environments.
Surprisingly the Leviathan Axe is not only used in combat but in environments as well to solve certain doors and solve some puzzles you may find some side quests which are optional and can give you various rewards if you complete them.

RPG Elements

The developers with the reboot also added some types of certain RPG elements and removed the previous upgrade health by collecting eyes and feathers or weapon upgrade screen and replaced it with things like a skill tree which you will upgrade with experience points you gain throughout the game.
You can upgrade not only weapons but the Kratos himself as you can choose the type of armor he wears many of which you can craft from elements you will find scattered in the game world you will find certain camps of smiths where you can build, craft and apply these armors and you can also upgrade to unlock abilities and Atreus also can wear armor and will get upgraded skills like he will able to shoot lightning arrows with his bow which are limited to 3 at start hopefully can be upgraded further in the game.

This installment of the series is a huge reboot for everything including the story its kind of we moved forward into a new place and its a start of a new great journey kind of thing as at the end of God Of War 3 Kratos has finished his matters with his past and now has a son and the life in a Norse region where Norse gods rule is kind of hard as the Norse gods think Kratos is coming for them as they know about mount olympus but now Krators have to put his rage and anger which drove him for so long behind him and learn to be a father and a mentor to his son Atreus.
The journey of father and son begins when Atreus's mother dies and want them to take her ashes to
as her last wish and as they find some companions and enemies on the way the story gets more intense as Atreus came to know about the dark past of his father and who he is which is kept hidden from him for a long time ( They finally made a story based game, as well as the action part, handled well ) and it will be interesting to see how far and stronger this duo of father and son goes.

Worth Buying..???

So, it all comes down to the main and most important questions does this game is worth your money ?? well, yes as far as we can see the gameplay and the story this game is worth your money as it's a reboot you will get to see lots of different and new things.
Also edition to that the game is now a great and intensely emotional experience as we discover the bond between a father and son under pressure and fighting together and overcoming enemies as well as their personal father and son emotional gaps.
They basically mixed Brothers: A Tale of two sons or The last of Us with Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifice which makes it and very interesting game to play.
So buy it when it comes out you will not regret the decision.
